NOTES TO NURTURE - Live at Pilgrim

My latest release is 15 of my Notes to Nurture instrumentals (including new arrangements and 4 improvised melodies) recorded live at Pilgrim Church in Redding, CA. This live experience featured collaboration with choreography, live artist and spinning wheel to bring the stories of my Notes to Nurture instrumentals to life.
*All “Notes to Nurture” instrumental pieces came from nurturing melodies from my past or from what nurtures me today. For example, ‘Velvet’ is the memory of a thick velvet curtain hanging between rooms in my grandparents house where my Aunty would spin yarn, while ‘Note to Self’ is about my journal process. The notes of ‘Poème’ were deliberately chosen as a poet chooses words for their beauty and sound and ‘Crowning Light’ is the memory of the sun warming the back of my head at the beach growing up in my native Australia. ‘Hush’ is the memory of an African baby swinging in a tree and ‘Violet’ is about the possibilities of love in marriage reflecting on 3 generations of women in my family. Muse [Kimono] reflects on my time in Japan as an exchange student when I was 15.

BEING.
Released September 2022
Being. is re-imagined instrumentals from my previously released songs featuring solo violin. The songs are from my albums “This Your Song” and “Rather Have You Wild”. The title is taken from the scripture: “In God we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)
Being. backing tracks and sheet music (with chords) for solo violin is also available for download. (Rebekah has used these same backing tracks playing Being. instrumentals live in concert.)

Rather Have You Wild
Released November 2016
Rather Have You Wild is a collection of instrumentals and songs. The songs travel through forgiveness, true beauty, creativity and finding home again and reflect my own personal journey. The instrumentals were born in live, spontaneous violin moments in worship sets.
